Award-winning singer and actor L’vovo Derango, real name is Thokozani Ndlovu has gotten stronger after suffering from a stroke towards the end of 2022, and is ready to embark on a new set of reality.
The Bayang’sukela hitmaker was hospitalised around the same time as that of Big Nuz lead singer Mampintsha, which is something that really scared him.
In an in interview with local publication TshisaLIVE last year, L’vovo shared how the hectic life in the showbiz creates a bad eating habit for some of them, ending up consuming fast food as they are constantly on the move:
“When we work we tend to eat the wrong food on the streets. What I’ve learnt from this is to take care of myself and my body, not to overwork and to maintain a healthy diet.”
It seems that the singer is still in his quest to live a better life while teaching others about stroke as he shared to the above mentioned publication in a recent interview, that he would like to be afforded an opportunity to be granted a reality show.
Speaking to the publication the singer said:
“I need production companies to help me secure a reality show so I can showcase my everyday struggle since I had a stroke and educate the masses about it. ”
Commenting more on his idea he added, “No-one has done such a show and it can happen to anyone. Its main purpose is awareness.”
L’vovo’s stroke has seen him unable to perform on some gigs that he was booked for last year like the Cotton Festival.
In a statement to the public who were eager to see him perform at the Cotton Fest, he said:
“I am sorry to announce that after lengthy discussions we have taken a decision to not perform at the Cotton Fest this coming weekend. My since apologies for any inconvenience caused and I hope to partake in the festival in the near future when I have fully recovered. To the Cotton Fest organisers, Thank you so much for wanting me to be part of your event.”
