Ntsiki Mazwai shares thoughts on upcoming elections – ‘The people are frustrated’

by Sergio Miller

The seventh democratic elections are just over a week away, and while the rest of the country is focused on deciding who the best leader will be to guide South Africans going forward – the renowned poet and activist Ntsiki Mazwai has made it clear that mzansi cannot have another term with Cyril Ramaphosa being in charge.

Taking to her social media account Ntsiki shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) reminding fellow South Africans just how much the current president has failed the country during his time as leader.

In her video, she makes several references to the events that took place in Marikana, as well as how she believes he failed black businesses by forcing them to close down during the Corona Virus Pandemic.

Ntsiki believes that the president is responsible for the selling and collapse of many of the country’s State-Owned Entities, and feels that should he be re-elected things might just become worse.

No guys we can’t have another Ramaphosa term…..no. pic.twitter.com/wzyfb8HbYw

Taking to the comment section many agree with her sentiments with some adding that the only means of survival would then be to migrate.

lol migrate baby. Cyril is still going to be the president of South Africa in the next coming 5 years.

Another added:

Thank you for this. I hope most of struggling clever blacks understand the costs that comes with Ramaphosa being our president. That loser is toxic and downgrade everything we have

Meanwhile, others criticised her for her comments on the current president, claiming that it’s not all his fault.

ALL SOEs ACTUALLY STARTED GRADUALLY FALLING APART DURING THE STATE CAPTURE LOOTING, TO BE FRANK AND PRECISE.., HE INHERITED A MESS OF THE SAID NINE WASTED YEARS. AS FOR THE GRAVES COVID TIME.., IT WAS DONE ENTIRE WORLD AS A PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE IN CASE THE WORST OCCURD.

In another interview with Briefly News, she explained that what the country needs is a referendum not run by politics.

“Voting will not change anything. We need to talk! A referendum not run by ANC and DA or any of the charlatans in parliament. They have failed the people. The people are frustrated.

“South Africa is not okay, and we can’t keep operating on a PR image of South Africa,” she said.
