With the election day approaching, there is a lot of back and forth on the internet about which party should be voted out and which one should win.

Some people have made it public that they want the ruling party, African National Congress (ANC) to be voted out because of failing to deliver of many things promised to the citizens.

According to news publication Sunday World, former ANC national chairperson Baleka Mbete said that, the ANC will overwhelmingly win the elections.

This happened when she spoke during a campaign that was held by the party at Ekurhuleni.

“On the 29th of May, the ANC will win overwhelmingly, and this is a promise we are making. It does not matter who did it or whether his move scared us and confused us.”

“Do not mind; sleep very peacefully at night; ours is to remind ourselves about the good work of the ANC,” added Baleka.

Baleka also claimed that the ANC will win because a lot of people still love the party for the work it has done over the 30 years.

During an interview, she was asked if did she reach out to Zuma in hopes of finding out why he ditched ANC and formed uMkhonto weSizwe (MK), Baleka replied, “Why have I not engaged with him? We are not friends; we were comrades who worked together at a particular time. I have nothing to engage him on.”

While addressing the community of Palm Ridge in Sebokeng, she also admitted that the MK party is a torn on the ANC.
