Social media platforms are abuzz with content from different political parties who are hoping that the public will vote for them in the upcoming elections, set to take place on May the 29th.

While many go to greater lengths to win people’s votes, some are quiet and haven’t been seen much on public platforms.

One of those political parties that’s been silent on social media platforms is the party of former president Jacob Zuma’s son, Duduzane Zuma.

Duduzane announced that he was forming a new political party late last year. The political party All Game Changers (AGC) was set to have a big launch this year as it planned to contest at this year’s seventh democratic elections.

On its website, the newly formed party describes itself as a, “Solution driven, all-inclusive political party which advocates a healthy generational mix that drives South Africa’s most pressing challenges to enable citizens across the country, continent and the globe.”

A few videos on Duduzane’s Instagram page show him campaigning in a few people in a few places in KZN. These videos were however shared in March, just shortly after the party was officially registered. It is now May, the election month, and many of are wondering how come we don’t see much from the young Zuma’s party.

In an interview with an SABC journalist, a confident Duduzane defined what sets his political party apart from others, commenting:

“We’re different, we smell different, we dress different, our views are completely different. We’re a new age, we’re a new wave, we are current, we understand the challenges of today.”

When asked why he didn’t join  his father Jacob Zuma’s new political party Umkhonto Wesizwe he shared:

“He is a wise old man, wherever he is at now I’m doing my own thing. I’m doing me, he is doing him and that’s all good, there’s nothing wrong with that.”
