Multi-talented musician Tumelo Mzwakhe Zwane, famously known as Sir Trill recently made an Instagram live video explaining to fans where he has been.

In the video, the amapiano artist spoke candidly about his current situation, revealing that he has not released any music for a while. He further explained that he was let down by some people in the music industry, adding that, someone was responsible for leaking his music, which caused many artists to distance themselves from him.

During the live video on Instagram, Sir Trill said, “I’m not hating anybody I’ve helped. I did everything I did from a good heart. Please don’t feel like I’m talking like this because I cannot make another song. I can drop a song today again and I can drop a song next week. I can still make the same songs.”

“I just got discouraged because I came in the game with a pure heart. When I got in everyone was quiet, everybody asked for my help, [and] I helped them. Somebody they trust and love leaked all of my songs. Why? Because I’m quiet, I get the end of it,” he added.

Although the Amapiano artist expressed disappointment, he told his fans that he didn’t want a pity party. He also clarified that he just wanted to explain why people don’t see him around like they used to.

Online publication MDN News reposted the live videos on X (previously known as Twitter) causing many users to speculate who could be gatekeeping the artist’s music.

One user said:

There is this bhari that is dealing with Sir Trill and he is not resting until the guy gives up on music. The sooner that person is known the better

Another user commented:

It’s the gatekeepers that know your music is good. Either you aren’t feeding into their criteria, or compliance in something, that they bully you like this

Find a way to get back up brother. You can’t give gatekeepers that much power.

Music industry is cruel and I still ask myself why we still have young artist disrespecting the industry and taking other people for granted.
