Age is nothing but a number! As graduation season is upon us, many people celebrate the fruits of their labour after sacrificing four years of their lives to obtain a qualification.

With the rise of the unemployment rate and people going back to school to upskill themselves for better job opportunities, a TikTok creator shared a video of her mother’s graduation day.

In the video, the creator who goes by the username @andadlayedwa on that app celebrated her mother graduating at the age of 54 years. Her mother Ntombomzi Dlayedwa graduated from the Cape Peninsula University Technology (CPUT) with a Diploma in Grade R teaching.

Mzansi celebrated the mother’s win as she was happy while captured with her family on her graduation day.

A TikTok user shared that they had seen the mother on graduation day when she said she would not kneel for the Vice-Chanecllor when receiving her certificate.

Another user commented: “I watched the live. Ingasaphole sana girl on stage and I was like yes girl take your time.”
