Bacardi singer Jelly Babie apologises to Big Save cashier after recording a viral altercation between them.

Jelly Babie, whose real name is Karabo Kakhu, first rose to fame after featuring in the late Vusi Ma R5 song, Thaba ke Chenchitse who was shot and killed early last year.

The young singer and dancer recently made headlines for disrespecting a wholesaler store cashier. In the video, the Bacardi artist says, “You must respect me and I’ll respect you. You are nothing,” adding, “She is forward because we were not talking to her. Why would she concern herself about things she does not know about? You don’t have anything. Her job is to be a cashier, not to concern herself about who I talk to and what I talk to them about.”

This altercation caused a mixed reaction online as some users felt that she was disrespectful and that the fame had gotten into her head causing about 500 thousand users to unfollow her and the store to suspend the cashier.

An X (previously known as Twitter) user posted the altercation online with many people not holding back their opinions about Jelly Babie, users felt that she apologised because she was losing brand deals and sponsorships for her behaviour.

The country we live in, imagine losing your job because you being disrespected by a child, fame is getting int Jelly Babie head ??

Big Save issued a statement where they demanded an apology from Jelly Babie adding that her behaviour breached the POPIA Act where she filmed someone without their consent.

The two ladies have now made amends after Jelly Babie posted a picture of her and the cashier on Instagram.

Another user commented: “So proud of you my Jelly, we love you forever.”
