Internet moved by viral video of emotional mother during daughter’s graduation

A video of an emotional mother during her daughter’s graduation at the University of the Western Cape made its way to social media plafforms, making many internet users emotional after seeing the joyful mother.

In the video, the mother jumps from her seat at the back and moves to the front singing her daughter’s praises.

Sounding emotional, the mother says, “Halala, Halala (praises) thank you my daughter,’ while moving up and down the passage.

The video was shared by the university on its TikTok platform with the caption:

“Can nothing beat a mother’s love.”

Soon after seeing the video, internet users shared how it made them feel.

Moved by the post, a user commented, “This video embodies the struggles it took for this moment to happen. May God bless you mama.”

“At that moment she relived everything that meant to stop her child from graduating but GOD!!!,” commented one user.

“I don’t know how am going to react tomorrow when my son’s name is called, I’m so emotional right now, we go through a lot as a parent to see our kids graduate, yho congratulations to mom’s child,” shared another user.

One user shared a very sad comment, detailing, “My mom said, “okay that’s good” and continued on with her day I didn’t even attend the graduation because she wouldn’t pay for it.”

A user remembered hers commenting, “My graduation day it was my mother’s funeral yoooh waze wajabula ngokbona umama wakho ehappy (you are lucky to see your mother happy), Congratulations.”
