With the 2023 highlights now being a thing of the past Springbok fly-half Handre Pollard and his wife Marise are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their firstborn this month.
The brunette beauty recently shared a post on her Instagram highlighting just how excited she is for her little one to arrive.
The picture uploaded to her story shows Marise snapping a beautiful mirror selfie while warmly embracing her baby bump with her other hand.
In the caption, she wrote: “Hello April. Cannot believe we are meeting our boy this month. Beyond grateful. Beyond excited.”
The couple first announced the news that they were expecting, shortly after Handre’s kicking abilities led Springboks to winning their fourth Rugby World Cup.

At time they were one of many Springbok couples who made their pregnancy announcements. Others included, Eben Etzebeth, Herschel Jantjies as well as Faf de Klerk who have all already become fathers over the last few months.
Meanwhile, with Handre playing his rugby for the English club Leicester Tigers, Marise celebrated her baby shower in their hometown of Paarl in the Western Cape.

In December the couple celebrated their six-year anniversary with Handre penning a beautiful post to the mother-to-be.
In a heart-warming post accompanied by several pictures of memories they made throughout the years, he wrote:
“Year 6 of being married to you has been crazy, but by far the best and most memorable of them all. I love you so much @marisepollard and can’t wait to grow our family with you xx.”
