Recently, we saw some media personalities spending time with their families while celebrating Easter. Some used this time to reflect on the good things God has done for them.

South African music artist and businessman Refiloe Phoolo professionally known as Cassper Nyovest has shared his religious journey. Earlier this year, he shared that he was born again and that he was baptised.

Cassper has been honest and public about his decision to turn to God, on many occasions, and shared that God is the reason his life is fruitful. In an interview with Mpoomy Ledwaba on her podcast, he opened up by saying that he was a sex addict, “The devil had me, he had me so deep. Everything was validated and I could negotiate why I was doing it. I was addicted to sex, I had such a big ego, and I thought I was better than everyone else. But I was humble in the sense that I wouldn’t offend anyone.”

Taking to X, an app formerly known as Twitter, Cassper shared, “On this Monday afternoon, I would like to declare yet again, that Jesus Christ is the sole reason for my life being spared and fruitful.”

“Through many situations, he saved me and he keeps saving me. It’s only by God’s grace that I’m alive and in my right mind. Thank you, Jesus,” he added.

He then shared the challenges he had faced for the past two years, explaining that mentally he was both drained and burnt out, “I felt unsafe because of threats, even got bodyguards. Was diagnosed with depression and anxiety.”

He added that at some point he could not see the light nor could he control his mind, “I ran to Jesus and he healed me. I would like to say. Thank you, Jesus!!! You are my lord and saviour,” he added.

In another tweet, he wrote:

It’s all about Jesus!!! It always was and it always will be!!! Jesus!!! The beginning and the end!!! Life is serious!!! Don’t take your life for granted. You were chosen!!! Don’t sit around waiting for nothing. Jesus wants you to know HE LOVES YOU!!! Repent!! He is coming back!!
