WATCH: UKZN mascot’s hilarious videos after losing a game

It seems like the University of Kwa Zulu Natal (Impi) rugby team keeps on disappointing their mascot.

The UKZN rugby team is one of the teams that take part in the Varsity Shield league which started mid-February. In the past years, they were known to be a strong team that usually reached the final rounds of the league.

This year it looks like the team is not doing well as they have been losing many games causing them to sit at the bottom of the league.

Just like any other team, the school decided to introduce their mascot Shaka Impi. Mascots are there to keep the audience entertained whilst cheering for the team during games.

The UKZN mascot has been trending on TikTok since the Varsity Shield started, and the hilarious videos we see on the app include the mascot showing how disappointed he is when the team loses the game.

In one video, Shaka is walking on the sideline whilst he evidently shows how upset he is after the other team scores a try. He then proceeds to lie down and yank himself whilst on the ground.

In another video that showed the scoreboard with UKZN losing by 59-0, Shaka is seen sleeping on his back on the ground not doing any cheering for the team.

In one video, the other team scored a try, and he looks down and buries his face with his hands. Instead of throwing a tantrum he tried to calm himself and started meditating.
