‘Things kind of came to a standstill’ – Mobi Dixon speaks after recent car crash

by Sergio Miller

Following a devastating car crash in which he was involved, house DJ Mobi Dixon has finally spoken out about the experience.

Last month the star made headlines after a taxi transporting a filming crew skipped a robot crashing into the musician as he was about to make a turn.

His management team later announced that he had been hospitalised and as a result, cancelled many of his shows.

In a recent interview with the news publication The Citizen Mobi revealed that that was one of the most horrific experiences – but is grateful that it was not fatal.

“The injuries weren’t too bad, they could’ve been much worse; I twisted my spine and my neck, and I sprained my shoulder. So, it’s taken just a month to get back into it physically, thank God it could’ve been much worse.”

Despite this, he admits that the road to recovery has been somewhat of a challenge.

“It’s been a really tough time, the accident took me down mentally, psychologically, physically, spiritually – it’s been a recovery road trying to pick myself up on all fronts.”

He adds that with the cancelling of some of his gigs, his music career has been a bit stagnant – with proper reason of course.

“Things kind of came to a standstill, the same time dealing with legalities and financial aspects of the situation, it’s been tough,” he said.

However, the lively musician is eager to pick up where he last left off and will be dropping some new songs as of today.

Speaking about his newly released song Siphande, he explained that the song is a motivational one which he wrote last October, despite this, it carries much more meaning as it resonated with everything he has gone through this year.
