‘He is my friend’ – Kabza De Small dismisses rumours of beefing with Maphorisa

by Sergio Miller

Kabza De Small expressed irritation when fans speculated that he and fellow musician DJ Maphorisa were having a feud, saying “He is my friend.”

This came after Maphorisa responded to repeated questions from fans about Kabza’s whereabouts.

While the two remain good friends, Maphorisa simply had enough and asked fans to stop.

Appearing in an Instagram live chat earlier this month, he said: “You guys like asking me about Kabza as if I’m married to him. Kabza is married, he has a wife. Must I always be with Kabza? Why don’t you go to his Instagram and ask him where he is?” Maphorisa said.

Continuing on the topic, he further stated: “I brought some positive energy here, and now you’re asking about Kabza. Does he not have a life that he must always be with me? Are we dating?”

This led many fans to believe that the pair must be beefing which is why Maphorisa refused to speak about the Asibe Happy hitmaker.

Putting an end to the unnecessary speculation, Kabza (whose real name is Kabelo Mahlangu) recently posted a video of his own.

Extremely annoyed by the recent rumours, he said:

“They are crazy, they are full of sh*t. Forget about it. You guys are crazy. What would I be fighting with Phori for? He is my friend. I don’t know where you got this news. You guys want us to fight?” Kabza asked.

The internet, however, was still not fully convinced and took to X to share their opinions on Kabza’s reaction.

He was forced to do this video ?

The fact that he took this video whilst driving a Kwid makes me believe that the beef is real… and Phori took the cars ?

Meanwhile, the duo otherwise known as the Scorpion Kings are expected to have a live show at the Forum in Birmingham in the United Kingdom on the 26th of May. Here, crowds will once again experience the synergy between them.
