Dr Nandipha Magudumana has allegedly been assaulted by two women in the Kroonstad correctional facility where she is currently being held.

Dr Nandipha, who founded the cosmetic surgery, Optimum Medical Aesthetics Solutions which catered to celebrities, was at the peak of her career. Still, everything came crashing down when she involved herself with Facebook rapist Thabo Bester.

The streaming platform Showmax Original recently released a documentary called Tracking Thabo Bester which details the prison escape of the rapist and how the doctor’s entanglement in the whole situation affected her career.

As reported by IOL, the infamous celebrity doctor’s lawyer Machini Motloung requested that Dr Nandipha be moved to another cell after an alleged assault incident occurred.

During an interview with broadcasting channel eNCA, Machini stated that his client told him about her recent alleged assault, adding that, she had suffered bruises.

This would not be the first time that it was reported that Dr Nandipha was assaulted in the prison.

The lawyer also told the broadcasting channel that Dr Nandipha had been receiving threats but no action has been taken by the prison over these complaints.

Machini told KAYA FM that, “There’s an offender who is a sangoma that’s been stringing conflict and division against Nandipha because of her incessant praying and singing with other inmates. The sangoma together with a mentally challenged offender, assaulted her causing serious bruising, pain and suffering on the body.”

Meanwhile, Singabakho Nxumalo, acting as a representative for the Department of Correctional Services, strongly refuted any claims that he was aware of threats against Dr Nandipha, adding that, the Department of Health’s rules prohibit mentally handicapped inmates from being placed with other inmates.
