5 Toothpaste uses you may not have known

Have you ever heard of the saying that goes, “We learn new things every day?” Well, that is generally how I feel about life.

Quite often I get amazed by how most of the items in my household can have multiple functionalities, toothpaste being one of those.

This protective paste helps us fight cavities and plaque. I also keeps the mouth fresh and clean and performs many other functions. Let us take a look at some of those.

Treat pimples – this is one of the tricks that I grew up hearing of. I never got to try it in my teen years as I was fortunate not to have developed pimples. As I got older, I got a few pimples and tried the toothpaste trick, it gave a burnie feel as it was squeezing the life out of my pimple. The next day the pimple was lifeless, and as I continued applying it, the pimple vanished. For better results, “apply toothpaste to the pimple and leave it on overnight,” adds GoodyFeed, an information source with relatable topics.

Clean watermarks on furniture – toothpaste can be used to clean watermarks from your wooden furniture. Applying toothpaste and leaving it for a few minutes will restore your watermarked wooden furniture.

Freshen your fingernails – having beautiful nails is a big flex, as nails have a way of making the hands look beautiful. If not cared for, our nails can dull and become yellowish, this should not worry you as the above-mentioned hub shares a trick that will help. “Scrub them with toothpaste and a toothbrush and your nails will look fresh and healthy,” shares GoodyFeed.

Deodorises baby bottles – baby bottles can be pricey, especially good ones. Even the best bottles in the market will later give a sour milk smell after continued use if not deodorised. This is no reason to panic or go get a new bottle. LifeHack an expert-driven information source advises to, “pop some toothpaste in the bottle, add warm water, shake and pour out – your bottles will be clean and minty-fresh.”

Hair dye removal toothpaste hack – Often when we dye our own hair it ends up getting to parts of our skin it is not meant for, and if wiped off late, it can cause a stain mark. LifeHackSolutions shares a toothpaste hack that will solve this issue. “To remove it, you can use whitening toothpaste to get rid of the unwanted stains on your skin,” shares the hub.
