Late South African hip hop artist AKA’s (born as Kiernan Forbes) latest album Mass Country received over 99 million views since its release.

The album was released last year after he passed on as it was a project he was working on before he was gunned down in Durban a year ago.

Taking to Instagram, his team shared a video showing that the album received over 99 million views. In the caption, they thanked the ‘megacy’ (AKA’s followers) for making sure that even in his absence, his numbers did not change.

They wrote, “Mega numbers for the Megacy! Thank you to the Megacy for getting Mass Country this far one year later.

“The album has achieved over 99 million streams. Megacy over everything, take a bow! ,” they added.

Concluding the caption, they wrote, “Thank you to everyone involved in the project from producers to featured artists. #MASSCOUNTRYONEYEAR.”

Fans and supporters of the late rapper flooded the comment section saying that he deserves it:

“Damn it’s so sad. The number of comments and likes has gone down by a huge margin.”

“We still need justice to be served that was an original African Giant,” wrote another one.

Another one said: “I’m guilty of listening to Prada at least a million times.”

In a different post, the album was announced to be available on Dolby & Spacial Atmos.
