‘DJ Maphorisa is a vampire, he feeds from the youth,’ says MacG

Recently, mzansi’s popular deejay and producer DJ Maphorisa trended when he went live on his Instagram sharing that every piece of music made in his studio, with his equipment, belongs to him.

This got many internet users divided, with some expressing that the deejay was greedy while others understood him adding, that he was after all a businessman who was building a legacy for his kids.

The latest person to comment on this matter is podcaster and Grandeur liquor owner MacGyver Mukwevho on his Podcast Chill with MacG. In a chat with his co-host Solomzi “Sol” Phenduka, MacG said:

“He {DJ Maphorisa} keeps everything, he doesn’t give them the fair share of the splits sheets, he keeps everything.”

Sol asked MacG to clarify, “So he keeps the master rights, copyright?”

MacG responded that he wasn’t sure about the copyright then Sol explained that copyrights are split sheets as the split sheets speak to the copy rights.

“That guy is the vampire bro; he feeds from the youth, added Mac G.

He continued:

“He’s greedy that guy, the right thing to do would be to share the split sheets accordingly. He doesn’t do that, he does, I’m Phori, I’m putting you on. I’m taking 100%.”

Sol asked, “Of all the rights of the song, master rights, copy rights, split sheets?” To which MacG responded, “If I’m lying, ask him to produce a split sheet. That’s why these boys are all crying.”

He later asks the team if they’ve ever heard someone say nice things about working with Phori.

DJ Maphorisa responded saying:

Macg really got a problem with me or the show is making money with name that’s why he has to talk about me all the time

He later shared his thoughts about Sol and Ghost Lady who co-hosts with the two gentlemen.

I feel like Sol n Ghost lady are scared of Macg shame??? it’s actually funny to see this shit I swear
