Kelly Rowland shows love to Uncle Waffles during a set

Swaziland-born DJ, dancer and record producer Lungelihle Zwane professionally Uncle Waffles is currently doing her amapiano show in New York.

The South African-based artist is known for the wonderful work she has put into the amapiano genre and for winning herself the title of being the ‘princess of amapiano’ as Billboard describes her. She is also known for her dance abilities which she usually showcases during her shows.

Taking to Instagram, Kokota Africa, a social media account of a broadcasting and media production company shared a video of American singer-songwriter Kelly Roland going up to the DJ booth to hug Uncle Waffles during her show at Opulence. After the hug, Kelly said something to Uncle Waffles as she smiled whilst they held hands.

In their caption, they wrote, “American R&B Legend @kellyrowland shows love to global talent @unclewaffles_ during her show at Opulence.”

Social media users and Waffle’s supporters were excited and happy to see this, they commented and said:

“Her not getting too hyped up on meeting her really confirms that she knows she is the sh*t.”

Another social media user wrote that they love how Waffles went back on her deck after the hug, “Love how she immediately went back to her mix. A FOCUSED QUEEN!”

Another one said that South Africa is working hard:

“South Africa really got the foot on the gas.”
