Singer-songwriter and choreographer Bongekile Mildred Simelane, prominently known as Babes Wodumo, sparked dating rumours with Amaroto’s Sabelo Zuma a year after Mandla Maphumulo, famously known as Mampintsha from popular group BigNuz, passed away.

The Wololo hitmaker, who was married to Mampintsha, has been candid about her struggles when it comes to grieving her husband and is now alleged to have found love.

According to ZiMoja, the speculation around the relationship started late last year when Babes and Zuma (who goes by his last name) were pictured together at a music event. Since then, they’ve been seen together on several occasions. “The couple adores one other, and Zuma has been helping Babes relaunch her career,” says a source.

Although several individuals in their group chastised them for their age gap, they allegedly appeared unconcerned. While Babes is 28, her alleged lover is 25 years old. According to the ZiMoja, the mother of one allegedly wanted to finish a full year of mourning and is now ready to move on.

“She is young and can go on with her life. She’s done her part and mourned her husband for a year,” says a source to the publication.

Many X (formerly Twitter) users slammed claims that the singer was in this relationship as users claimed that they were cousins.

Since when are we dating our blood cousins? ?
