While some citizens continue to complain about the cost of living, many have taken it upon themselves to start living in a more budget-friendly manner that will lead to more savings and fewer expenses. The transition cannot be quite easy, but is however quite necessary to ensure that a little money goes a long way.

As we have reached the end of a rather financially taxing month, people now have the freedom to do many things that they did not have the budget for. The plan has always been to work smarter and not harder.

TikToker user, Sphe Ngema provides us with five tips that will “Savour the savings.” Here are some cost-saving tips for dining on a budget:

  1. Early bird specials: Sphe advises that people take advantage of these menus as they feature the same quality dishes but for a fraction of the normal cost.
  2. Bring your beverage: To cut down on costs, be sure to scout for restaurants that allow you to bring your beverages which will amount to fewer dining expenses.
  3. Be on the lookout for daily specials: “Many restaurants offer discounted rates on certain days to indulge without breaking the bank,” mentioned Sphe.
4. Share appetizers: Sphe suggests that opting for sharing options is the better choice as it allows for the exploration of a variety of options without overspending.
  5. Sign up for restaurant loyalty programs: Enjoy perks such as long-term savings, birthday discounts, and exclusive discounts with loyalty programs.
