Emtee reminisces on his ‘Roll Up Re-Up’ song after performing it in Russia

South African songwriter and rapper Mthembeni Ndevu popularly known as Emtee takes a look back on his music career after he performed his hit song Re-Up in Russia. In the Re-Up he featured Wizkid and the late rapper AKA.

Taking to Instagram the proud father of two shared a video of himself when he was performing the song in Russia and in his caption, he wrote that when he wrote the song, he was playing but 7 years later he is still performing it, “I was playing when I made this song really.7 years later I’m still performing it.”

“Had them Russians singing along, and dancing and you know it is a Maza when I perform it in the hood ?? Mans grateful and that you get me,” he added.

He concluded his caption by saying that many people in the music industry tried to cancel him but did not succeed as he stood his ground and fought,” 7 years bruv! Noff boy dem pray me fall but me still a gwaan, they try ‘cancelling’ man but no fall. Mans a warrior at heart. Make wahala Kom! I go look am for face like dis. I no fear. I no gree for anybody!”

Social media users commented with motivational messages and said:

“This is not a remix it’s a re-up RIP AKA, that guy loved you man everyone is singing your song mna.”

Another social media user wrote that he should double the energy for his next song, “You got to double that energy onto a new hit yo.”
