It is normal for most people to showcase their talents and state the inspiration behind the work they have done.

Simphiwe Mbatha, popularly known as Colour Me Sim, who is one of the most prominent self-taught make-up artists, did a beautiful artwork on her face and explained that the inspiration behind it was her favourite song, Imithandazo by Kabza De Small, Mthunzi, and Young Stunna.

On Instagram, Sim shared a video of herself, and in her caption, she explained why she loved the song.

“The song is centred around the theme of faith; in essence, it is an actual “prayer”—praying for a brighter future, better days, happiness, and echoes hope while praising God and God’s love,” she said.

She added that the song says everything from feelings to hopes and the struggles we’ve faced: “This song says everything; it explains exactly how we feel, what we hope for, and all the struggles we go through. This song is a reminder of how spiritual Amapiano  is—yes it’s a lifestyle, but it’s rooted in the idea of wanting to be more.”

She concluded her caption by saying that she loves the song and hopes people enjoy her artwork: “I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. I hope you guys enjoy 9 hours of work for the country’s national anthem.”

Social media users could not keep quiet about her talent for bringing everything to life; they commented:

“Every time I see you, it’s like I’m seeing your work for the first time. You’re so talented!!”

Another one said that if talent was a person, it would be Sim, “if talent was a person.”

Another one wrote, “18:44 crying on Instagram because of sims.”
