‘Dr Matthew’ accuses health department of refusing him his treatment

by Bongiwe Mati

Fake Dr Matthew Lani is once again trending for accusing the department of health of trying to kill him by refusing him entry at a local clinic when he went to fetch his HIV treatment.

The vocal “doctor” who was denied as a former student by the university he claims to have qualified at, University of Witwatersrand, gained popularity when he shared his story on how he was intentionally infected with HIV by his ex.

He also shared that he took him to court and won the case. Upon winning the court case, he received R660 000 for the pain caused and for him to be able to take care of himself.

In a recent video, the alleged bogus doctor accused the department of health of trying to kill him, in a video shared on TikTok covering his mouth, he shared:

“I have a blister on my mouth hence I’m covering it. Tell me why the department of health is trying to kill me, because honestly speaking this is attempted murder.”

He went on to explain that he ran out of medication three week ago, adding:

“You know yours truly is HIV positive, right. I get medication from a clinic down the road because its forever empty. I get there and the security is like: are you not Dr Matthew from TikTok?

He went on to say the security told him he wasn’t allowed into the facility after agreeing that he was indeed Dr Matthew. He added that the security explained showing him a poster they made barring him from entering the premises.

Matthew added that he asked to see the clinic manager and received the same communication shared by the security personnel.

He added that he went to a different facility only to face the same issue claiming he’s been without ARV’s for three weeks and that he was getting weak, losing weight and developing blisters.

The questionable doctor also shared that he took the matter to the Human’s Rights Commission who found the department guilty of Human Rights Violation, adding he had added the matter to his case, suing the department.

“If this is not attempted murder, I don’t what is,” concluded Dr Matthew.
