A true performer puts their all into their craft, and that is exactly what the late singer Zahara did in her last performance.

A video uploaded on social media by Zahara’s friend and media contributor, Asandiswa Mhlauli, showing the multi-award-winning artist wiping away her tears during her final performance has gone viral, touching the hearts of many.

Asandiswa wrote the following:

“I had an opportunity to witness your last performance and it was so different, so emotional and so heavy. I cried my heart out – you told me you were not feeling too well and we rushed to the hotel. We cancelled the plans for the rest of the evening because you wanted to take a nap. I will always love you @ZaharaSA.”

Zahara took her final breath on Monday evening at a private Johannesburg hospital following liver complications. Her partner, Mpho Xaba, was at her bedside.

Seeing the touching video, many social media users commented on how the video brought tears to their eyes.

She needed to hear that she is loved. This is heartwarming and sad at the same time.
