Rapper and now wellness entrepreneur, Gigi Lamayne, has officially launched her IV therapy lounge, IV Zeal.

Gigi, whose new Sandton-based business venture offers a variety of therapy treatments, took to Instagram to share with fans a glimpse inside of the wellness lounge:

“Welcome to @ivzealsandton. An early Christmas present from me to me! Stop by our IV Lounge for your hangover, energy boost and skin glow drips. ???? Cannot wait to share more content on our launch yesterday. A fabulous occasion. Thank you to everyone for coming through.”

Gigi, who is a health and fitness fanatic, told ZiMoja that she has been exposed to a lot of new knowledge on how to keep healthy. “As artists, we tend to put a lot of things into our bodies and do not understand the detrimental effects. I wanted people to learn from me but also have a space where they can get the necessary minerals, stay healthy, and keep changing their dreams.”

Although not a family business, Gigi’s new company sought assistance from her mother and step-father. Her mother, who is a nursing sister, assists with the medical side of the business while her step-father was involved in the architecture and general modelling of the store. She told the publication DRUM, “I love the support I have received from my family, and I am hoping other black families can get inspired into working together more.”
