For the past few months, it has been one of the most talked about celebrity boxing matches – the fight between rapper Big Zulu and entrepreneur Phumlani Njilo.

After continuous social media backlash that went back and forth the build-up to the showdown, the two finally put their words into action as they faced one another at the Oliver Convention Centre in Durban this past Saturday.

On the night it was Phumlani who had the last laugh as he gracefully defeated Big Zulu.

In his interview with news and entertainment publication TshisaLive the businessman predicted that his stamina and quickness would be the deciding factor of the evening, and this was rightfully the case.

Despite throwing some solid fists, Big Zulu’s endurance seemed to fail him on the night.

Meanwhile, the fight ended in good spirits as the two embraced one another after the fight. Phumlani later took to Instagram sharing that he has gained a brother.

In a highlight video of the fight which circulated on Twitter, several users expressed how shocked they were at Big Zulu’s defeat.

One user even compared the fight to that of the biblical characters David and Goliath with a caption which reads: “Yes.”
