The singer first made her step into the entertainment industry in the late 1980’s with her songs, Superwoman, and The way you love me, dominating the music charts. Over the years she has produced many more countless hits, which in-turn made her a South African favourite, with many people dancing to her music.

Karen briefly visited the country last year where she performed for two nights in Cape Town’s Grand West and Pretoria’s SunBet Arena.

It seems her love for the country must’ve been something that she could not get out of her mind as she returned this week to perform at the Mahika Mahikeng Cultural music Festival which takes place this Sunday, 10 December.

In addition, she also caught up with old friends and actively danced to home grown South African music.

In one of her more recent Instagram posts, she caught up with reality star Shauwn Mkhize. The clip shows the two having tons of fun in Mhkize’s home, while Karen later requests that she be taught some South African dance moves while dancing to DJ Kent’s song – ‘Horns in the Sun.’

She captioned her post: “This Superwoman needs no introduction in South Africa! ??? @kwa_mammkhize LOOK HER UP! ? Thank you for hosting us so graciously in your home tonight! It’s an honour to meet you. So proud of you and all your accomplishments! ???❤️??.”

Netizens in the comment section were overjoyed.

Meanwhile, the veteran singer has had a tight schedule of interviews ahead of the festival. In one of the interviews, she told eNCA that she is keen on working with South African talent in the near future.
