South African all-rounder entertainer Siyabulela Deli popularly known as Ta Fire opens up about his downfall on the Popcorn and Cheese podcast.
The podcast is hosted by media personality Mpho Poops and musician Robot Boii. In the podcast the three spoke about many things, they also got to have glimpse of Ta Fire’s life outside social media.
This includes growing up in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), acting and the skits that he is famously known for. Amongst the things they spoke about, Ta Fire’s downfall and going back home was there, where he expressed how it felt and talked about the things he went through.
Ta Fire explained that there is no one to blame for the things that happened to him. “I was making bad and careless decisions that caught up with me,” he explained.
He also explained that his downfall lasted for a yearlong and he went back home (Gqeberha). “You know when you are the first born and you see your little brother doing things you can’t do,” he said.
“I was at my lowest and I couldn’t talk to no one, luckily my friend, girlfriend and friends back home they were there for me, they supported me financially and emotionally until things started looking great again,” he added.
Ta Fire also said he learnt that the decisions you make for yourself within the industry are the ones that can put you down.
