WATCH: US tourists stunned by SA’s beauty

A video of a group of American tourists made its rounds on social media where they were shocked after discovering a small part of our beautiful country.

The group, who clearly did not think they would experience high-end luxury and sophistication, compared the area they were in to cities in the USA. Located in a residential area around Gauteng province, the area that impressed the tourists has a man-made beach.

In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), one of the gentlemen could be heard saying:

“You would not think this is South Africa,” he further asked others, “Now, I’m gonna ask each one of you, where would you say in the states this looks like to you?”

A few group members responded saying Florida. One added, “This is a man-made beach, I’m going Vegas.”

The tourist who posed the question continued:

“But this is South Africa.”

Another tourist added, “Right in the middle of the desert, Las Vages.”

“This is beautiful, look at this. This is like a retreat.”

He concluded by thanking someone for the food they were about to receive.

Sharing the video, user @VideosVuvu captioned the post:

“Where do Americans think we stay? ?.”

Some shared that there were better places than where the group was, commenting:

And this is so basic…someone take this man to St Francis Bay or better yet Port Alfred

Some appreciated that the group was exposing our country to people in the US, commenting:
