Humanitarian and media personality Thato “TT” Mba hosted a successful fatherhood wellness network through his social initiative Amatayma the past weekend.

The word Amatayma is a slang used to refer to fathers hence the initiative focuses on getting fathers to be the best versions of themselves for our communities. The initiative also creates a platform for conversations around mental and physical health, finance, abuse perpetrated by men and abuse endured by men as well as many other social ills.

Speaking to Metro Fm’s Tbo Touch on the Touchdown afternoon drive show yesterday, TT shared that the event was also in honour of International Men’s Day awareness. He added that Amatayma managed to get 500 signatures from men who wanted to pledge to “stand up, speak up, and end any silence on gender – based violence.”

TT also noted that, when the pledges reach 10 000, Amatayma will take them straight to the president.

The fully present father of two who is loved for his bubbly and funny nature has his father’s backing on this massive project, making it more special and meaningful.

Sharing posts of the two Amatayma events that took place at Mhlanga Platinum Belt lounge and Soweto’s Disoufeng Pub, TT shared:

“WHAT A PRICELESS MOMENT IN TIME❤️❤️.”
