While what is deemed as the proper beard may have various characteristics and qualities in society, the fact remains that all beards matter and they all require tender love and care.

Like any other hair, facial hair is no different as it requires maintenance and consistency to grow. The journey of grooming your beard will definitely lead to growth and other benefits that may boost your confidence and strengthen your hair follicles.

Beard Club – a company that curates beard grooming kits – highlights that “all beards come in all shapes and sizes, each type having its unique challenges and needs.”

With this being said, it is important to note that different individuals have various response times to various products which may either gradually delay or improve their growth rate of facial hair.

As advised by Clicks – leading South African healthcare market – it is important to identify your goal but do however keep your expectations realistic.

Provided below are a few important grooming steps provided by Beard Club:

  • Cleansing

The first step to taking care of anything is ensuring that it is clean. While hair can hold onto substances such as dirt, sweat, access oil and so forth. It is important that you perform a regular cleansing routine for your beard.

  •  Trimming

This step plays a huge role in maintaining the shape that you would like your beard to grow in. A regular trimming session also helps to get rid of all unwanted split ends.

  •  Moisturising

To avoid having a dry and coarse looking beard, it is important that those embarking on this grooming journey moisturize their facial hair consistently.

  •  Brushing

This step aids towards keeping your beard “looking full and strong.” Using a gentle brush for your beard will assist with an even distribution of oils, as well as the removal of any loose hairs.
