Ways to relax tired muscles

Muscle tension can make your whole body sore and reducing your chances of working properly. If you feeling tense from overworking yourself and you want to relax your muscles here are some effective ways to help you feel at ease.

Stretching 

According to Healthline, stretching helps with increasing the blood flow to the muscles which can minimize the stiffness and soreness, it can also improve the motion and flexibility range. Stretching is also essential as it can help to calm your nervous system and reduce the feeling of stress.

Massage

Massaging can help with reducing the tension as it helps with the circulation that lessens inflammation and swelling. It also help with loosening up tight muscles and releases knots. A massage can boost your mood by releasing endorphins(your feel good body chemicals), says Healthline.

A warm bath or shower

Taking a warm bath or shower is one of the simple ways to relax your muscles as warm water can help with increasing the blood flow and ease tension. Healthline adds that, warm water is soothing which means it can help with relieving stress and knots to improve flexibility.

Use of oils like lavender 

Lavender oils are known for their soothing and calming properties, they promote relaxation. LovingLife also says lavender oils can reduce tension, you can use them by adding a few drops to your bath or put them in a cotton ball to inhale the scent. You can also use chamomile and rose oils if you do not have lavender.

As mentioned by LovingLife, there are many ways you can use to reduce muscle tension, you can always rely on the ones mentioned above as they promote relaxation and reduces stress.
