Former YoTV star Psyfo lands top job

by Sergio Miller

From being a child presenter on a South African kids’ show to making things hot with degrees – literal degrees, well-known media personality Sidwell Sipho Ngwenya aka Psyfo has shown that hard work indeed beats talent.

The former YoTV presenter has been making big strides in the entertainment industry and has now secured himself the role of Mulitchoice’s Content Operations Senior Manager.

This is a big win for Mzansi, those who followed his journey brimmed with pride when entertainment commentator Phil Mphela shared a short clip of the former presenter on his Twitter page.

In the clip, Psyfo can be heard addressing a group of people about the importance of speaking more English instead of vernacular for the sake of international inclusion on the popular show – Big Brother.

For those asking about speaking vernac on Big Brother.

Here is what Sipho Ngwenya , Multichoice’s Content Operations Senior Manager, had to say about why housemates have to speak more English on the show.

Following this, social media users were quick to congratulate one of their favourite sons, for his ability to push himself in various spheres of the industry.

These were what some users had to say:

Sipho is holding such a huge portfolio ??????

Meanwhile, his will to succeed has been evident throughout his career. Since starting on YoTV in 2006, the young man from Kimberly showed that no dream was too big for him.

He later went on to make his appearance as Ajax in the soapy Generations and even kicked off his music career shortly after, in the process also forming his record label, Sids Records.

More recently, the ambitious 41-year-old obtained his MBA at the University of Pretoria and welcomed a daughter, with his wife Aamirah turning his family of two into a family of three.

With the amount of progress, he is making now, the sky is the limit for the future.
