‘Must have Master’s Degree’ –mom’s babysitter job ad

A US mom named Tammy faced severe criticism when she posted a babysitter job ad on Facebook.

In the ad, she offered a meager $200 (about R3 880,64 ) per week for taking care of her four children between noon and 6 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends.

Tammy had strict demands, including being a great cook and cleaner, having a Master’s Degree, no social media accounts, and no tattoos or piercings.

She also expected the babysitter to provide their own transportation and run errands for her.

Many people, especially babysitters, found her requirements and low pay absurd, with some humorously commenting that even a nun wouldn’t meet those qualifications or agree to such conditions.

“I wouldn’t do that for $200 a day. You’re never going to find a single human that falls under those qualifications. Even a nun wouldn’t have five professional references or agree to a drug test,” said one online user.

After Mzansi X discovered the post, Tammy faced severe backlash and criticism.

With these demands she might as well take care of the child herself…

6 hours per day, $200 for the full week, that’s $6.67/hr. I can see all the masters grads lining up for this job

$12,000 year with a master’s degree is crazy
