Netflix released the official teaser trailer for the South African thriller Fatal Seduction. The dark, intriguing series tells a tale of unwavering passion and desire, unraveling in a dark story built around a web of lies and deceit.

Directed by screenwriter and script editor Catherine Stewart (Isibaya and Jacob’s Cross) and Johnny Barbuzano (How to Ruin Christmas and The River), the dramatic story unfolds when Nandi (played by Kgomotoso Christopher) spends a fated weekend away from husband, Leonard (played by Thapelo Mokoena). She then meets the mysteriously seductive tempter, Jacob (played by Prince Grootboom) who ignites her deepest passions.

Jacob’s presence causes Nandi to question the truth about those close to her as past lies and secrets slowly creep to the surface.

Fatal Seduction – filmed in and around the Mother City, Cape Town – also stars the following actors and actresses:

  • Nat Ramabulana, who plays Vuyo, a retired Private Investigator and Leonard’s brother.
  • Lunathi Mampofu, who plays Brenda, a woman with a troubled past who also happens to be Nandi’s best friend.
  • Ngele Ramulondi, who plays Nandi and Leonard’s daughter Zinhle.
  • Frances Sholto-Douglas, who plays Zinhle’s best friend Laura.

Produced by the company Ochre Moving Pictures, this new series was executively produced by Robbie Thorpe, Stan Joseph and Lodi Matsetela. Writers include Steven Pillemer, Dami Elebe and Sydney Dire.
