‘Celebrating my 54 days of not drinking alcohol’: Lasizwe Dambuza gives life update

South African YouTuber and TV personality Lasizwe Dambuza reflects on his sobriety journey.

The media personality recently gave his fans an update on his life in a series of images on Instagram with a description of what happened in each frame. The YouTuber also opened up about celebrating mother’s day for the first time in six years since the passing of his mother. 

In frame one the star revealed that he is celebrating 54 days of sobriety.

Frame 1: “Celebrating my 54 days of not drinking alcohol. (Still on a sabbatical),” he wrote.

Frame 2: Spending time with friends (I scored a goal here).

Frame 3: My Best Friends bought me flowers when they visited me.

Frame 4: Well, I’m active Uncle now. Present in my nieces and nephews lives ?❤️ soooo… yaaayyy!!!

Frame 5: Had an mental breakdown because life was lifing and instantly missed my late my mom so much.

Frame 6: Celebrated Mothers Day for the first time in 6 years after my moms passing with my sister @zonkenkabinde.

Frame 7: Back at work! Killing it! With @thesanHD.

Frame 8: Ey Sana! @indabakabani teaching me AGAIN how to dance.

Many of his fans and industry friends were excited to see that Lasizwe is taking time for himself. 

One social media user wrote: “Love this update So much.”

“Awwww Sweerie. I love you so much you’re amazing, please take it one day at a time you’re stronger than you think,” wrote a fan.

Another user wrote: “Am so proud of you Laswize, sending you so much love.”
