Kaya 959 host and DJ Dineo Ranaka had reportedly been admitted into a Pretoria hospital a few weeks ago. Now, it is alleged that she had discharged herself on Friday after getting into an argument with a healthcare worker at the mental health institution.
This comes after Dineo shared with the world that she was struggling mentally, saying that she was trying her best not to end her life. She also said that she completely understood why people commit suicide.

According to Sunday World, a source at the hospital claims that Dineo got into a heated argument with the healthcare worker who was on the phone. She suspected that he was taking videos of her.
The source tells the publication that Dineo confronted the individual. “Then the boy [healthcare worker] said to Dineo shut up and then they had a confrontation which ended up in him saying she must not take out her frustrations on him.”
Another source told Sunday World that Dineo then discharged herself from the hospital, even after being advised not to. The next day, the DJ is said to not have answered any messages or phone calls.
Since the TV host opened up about her struggles with her mental health, many fans, friends and family have supported her.
Dineo’s sister Manaka had previously provided updates about Dineo and shared a touching video holding her sister’s hand.
Artists such as Tswyza and Villa made a song for her, while Rasta The Artist created a portrait in her honour.
