Thando Thabethe to lend voice in Hollywood animated series

Radio DJ, actress and now voice-over artist Thando Thabethe has landed a role in season two of Netflix’s animated series My Dad the Bounty Hunter, joining many of Hollywood’s celebrated voice actors.

The animated series follows two children who discover that their father is the toughest bounty hunter in the galaxy when they accidentally hitch a ride into space.

The stars Thando will be working alongside include show newcomers Janet Hubert (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Keith David (The Princess and the Frog), Tim Meadows (Mean Girls), Ralph Ineson (The Witch), Chelsea Peretti (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Farming).

While season one voice actors included Laz Alonso (The Boys), Priah Ferguson (Stranger Things), JeCobi Swain (Little Ellen) and Yvonne Orji (Insecure).

The 947 Drive with Thando host received many congratulatory messages on her Twitter feed.

Popular tweep The Instigator wrote, “A big congratulations to Thando Thabethe for bagging a role on Netflix animation series My Dad the Bounty Hunter.”

“Congratulations @Thando_Thabethe,” said tweep Thulani Ndaba.

Another tweep noted that Thando landing the international role was a big win for Africa.

Media personality Siv Ngesi also commented: “Take a bow sister @Thando_Thabethe,” followed by numerous hearts.
