It is safe to say that loadshedding is *insert negative adjective.* But it is especially the worst when you experience it alone. That was the unfortunate case for Siya Kolisi.

The Springboks captain shared a funny, yet relatable clip on his Instagram account of his time spent alone during loadshedding. He appeared to be sitting outside, with only a single candle providing him with light. Siya is also heard playing the song Lonely by rapper Akon, while rapping and bopping to the jam, adding to the hilarity.

Siya captioned the post, “Loadshedding is doing things to me.”

Many Instagram users took to his comments section. One said, “A whole Captain, Our Captain with a global audience dealing with loadshedding ??‍♀️ ? ??.”

“Priceless Siya?????,” said another. “One thing, our people’s humour can’t ever be switched off, we hold tight to prayers and a joyful spirit???? We living in sad times for real?…”

Referring to Siya’s relocation to France to join the French club Racing 92, another person said, “That’s going to be history soon when [you] move to France ?? ?.”

Being away from his family also had his wife Rachel Kolisi missing the celebrated rugby player. In true Kolisi fashion, Rachel shared a fairly embarrassing picture of her husband on her Instagram Stories.

Siya is pictured sleeping on a couch with his mouth half open. She wrote, “Missing you” followed by a teary-eyed and heart emoji.

Siya did not let that post go. He reposted the story and asked, “Is this what we are doing?”
