The news of DJ Maphorisa’s alleged arrest surfaced late last night.

The Amapiano singer also known as Phori or Madumane has been allegedly seeing Thuli Phongolo for some time now.

According to the Sunday World, the Ba Straata hit maker allegedly “grabbed actress Thuli Phongolo by her neck and dragged her to the balcony of her flat during an altercation on Sunday.”

The newspaper also adds that Thuli commented, “He held me, took me to the balcony, and grabbed me aggressively by my neck.”

The actress’s manager who stated that the actress had gone with her road manager to open the case added, “We are still trying to gather how she is doing. I am seeing her in the next hour … We just need to actually figure out what is happening.”

Thuli, who has never confirmed dating Maphorisa has since deleted all her posts on her Instagram leaving her three and half million followers shocked.

Twitter users had mixed feelings about the news.

One user noted, “How does South Africans believe Thuli when she says she was assaulted by DJ Maphorisa but couldn’t believe Lady Zamar, Lerato Moloi, Amanda Du Pont when they said they [were] raped by their favourite artists.”
