Sizwe Dhlomo comments on DJ Sbu’s potential return to SABC

Radio host Sizwe Dhlomo has once again taken to Twitter to share his thoughts about his industry mates. This time, it was none other than DJ Sbu.

It all started with a video of DJ Sbu explaining that he will only return to the SABC for the “right commercial deal” to “serve his country.”

He also stated, “I wouldn’t put money first. I’ll put my country first, but yes, financially or commercially, it has to make sense.”

Sizwe quote tweeted the video posted, saying, “Lol! Working at SABC is not “serving.”

One Twitter user responded to the tweet, saying, “Please clarify Dinangwe. Phela the SABC is fulfilling a public editorial mandate.” Sizwe replied, “Yes but you get paid to work there. It’s a job… You’re not serving anybody but yourself when you do a show there. Let’s just be honest.”

In a separate tweet, Sizwe wrote, “Sbuda must just say he wants to be on a national platform again… simple. Lol!”

Siding with Sbu, one tweep said, “Sbuda can triple the listenership if he were [to] take your slot at Kaya fm. The best that has ever done it hands down.”

Sizwe did not agree with the comment: “Hhayi kabi but no, he can’t.”

In one of many tweets, one tweep told Sizwe, “Soon you gon catch a felony for all these hate crimes. Not a good look.” Sizwe simply responded with, “Lol! What am I hating on?”
