Late South African rapper, Riky Rick’s partner, Bianca Naidoo recently opened up about coping with his loss, saying that she is still trying to figure things out and wants to ensure that she makes Ricky proud.

Riky Rick was an award-winning rapper who died in February last year at the age of 34.

A report by TrueLove said that a DJ who worked with Riky Rick confirmed that the musician had taken his own life and had been battling with his mental health.

“He suffered from depression for a while before deciding to take his own life. He was found hanging by friends,” said the DJ on condition of anonymity as quoted by the publication.

Speaking to YOU, Bianca said she was still learning to cope with the grief of losing Ricky.

“I’ve decided this year I’m not going to put pressure on myself,” she said.

“I’m trying to figure out a lot of things and I want to ensure I make Riky proud. I want to be a great mom and support our kids. It’s a lot of learning, this new normal. Trying to understand and deal with grief,” she was quoted as saying.

Bianca said the presence of her late partner still lived in their home. She added that she will cherish the way he always made time for the kids.

“He made all the effort in the world to make sure he was present, even when he was tired. He worked a lot, but he’d always do activities with the kids. Maik learned so much from Riky because he was so present. I’m so grateful for that,” Naidoo was quoted as saying.

“Having to tell the kids. I don’t even know how I was feeling. I can’t even remember if I was numb. Survival mode kicked in, not for myself, but for the children and everyone else around me. I tried to be open and honest with my children because I wanted them to know what had happened from me,” she reportedly added.

According to Sunday World, an anonymous source who was close to the late rapper came forth and shared the contents of the alleged suicide note.

“Dear Bianca, this pain is too much. I don’t want you to blame yourself for my life being unbearable. This was the greatest period of my life. You gave me more love than I deserved. Please do not blame yourself. Live your life. Don’t hide the light you gave me every day.

“The pain I feel is too much to deal with. The voices in my head have never gone away. I wish I was stronger but I am not. Please forgive me. I love you so much. Be happy. Smile. Everything is okay now,” the letter reportedly said.
