There are many terms these days, sometimes it can be confusing to keep up, but when it comes to “couple goals” we have to keep up so we can keep our relationships spicy.

For some people the term “couple goals” is simply just wearing matching t-shirts to do content together with your partner on social media.

However, according to psychologist Noor Jacobs, “The goal is to be with someone who genuinely knows you and loves you with no judgment whatsoever. The relationship that has love, patience, tolerance and security. Some people say a couple goals should be making every event memorable and romantic.

Now, if you aspire to be referred to as “couple goals” with your partner, here are a few things you can consider according to expert therapists at Better Help.

  1. Be clear about what you want in a relationship, you find couples who are together for years but only one who does the compromising. For a long lasting relationship, be yourself.
  2. Showing appreciation to each other, say out loud the things that you love about your partner.
  3. Checking up on each other’s well being, shows that you care and you think about your significant other.
  4. Make honesty and communication a priority.
  5. Make it a tradition to go on dates, visit different places for dates sometimes you can even do picnics.
  6. Talk about the future without enforcing the matter on the other person.
  7. To create excitement and anticipation, try to spend time with friends sometimes and miss each other.
  8. Try exploring different and new things to keep things exciting.
  9. If matching outfits are your thing, go for it.
  10. Acceptance, with flaws and stuff, if you love your partner it has to be unconditional and regardless of their flaws.

Relationships are different, if you thrive to be like any other couple your relationship might not last but if you’re doing things your way and what works between you and your partner you might stand a chance.
