Babes Wodumo is reportedly recording a 2023 album

South African gqom artist and choreographer Bongekile Mildred Simelane, better known as Babes Wodumo is said to be in the studio recording her 2023 album. 

Babes Wodumo who is currently mourning the passing of her husband Mapintsha and mother-in-law Zama Gumede, is not slowing down nor taking a break, instead she is set on fire to deliver.

TNS took to their Facebook timeline to announce that Babes was indeed in the studio recording her new album. TNS also just dropped his first project of the year, God First EP, revealing that the singer is in the studio with him working on her album.

“In Studio w/ IDandokazi Babes Wodumo recording Her 2023 Album,” he wrote, adding fire emojis which connotes that she’s doing well in the studio.

Fans were so excited after learning the news of Babes being back into the studio.

Another user said: “I can’t wait for that collaboration brother, what you did to #abadala still beats hard in babes Wodumo album.”

Another fan said: “That album will be the hottest ever.”

“What’s the name of the album Can’t wait …N Mastering by TNS,” said fan.

The gqom artist who has taken over her late husband Mapintsha’s Facebook account where she shared a video of herself with her son, Sponge Wodumo.

She caption the post saying:

“Past few weeks have been alot for me… Syabonga Nkosi ngokusigcine kuze kufike la, Syabonga ngokusilondoloza.. If it was not for ukukholwa kwam ngabe asikho la,” she wrote.
The post translated to:
“Past few weeks have been a lot for me… Thank you Lord for keeping us this far, Thank you for keeping us.. If it wasn’t for my faith we wouldn’t be here…”
