Sticking to a strict healthy diet can be difficult. Therefore, keeping healthy staples in your kitchen is the easiest way to stick to healthy eating and maintaining healthy eating habits.

Having healthy foods at hand is important to avoid gravitating towards unhealthy options. You can keep long lasting healthy staples in your pantry and freezer to ensure you have healthy ingredients at hand to prepare those healthy meals and snack.

To avoid falling off your healthy eating habits, keep these healthy staples in your kitchen:

Frozen fruits and vegetables

Healthline argues that many fresh fruits and veggies, such as berries and greens, are highly perishable. Therefore, buying these foods in frozen form allows you to always have nutrient-dense produce on hand.

According to Nib Health Insurance, frozen fruit and vegetables contained more antioxidants such as vitamin C, polyphenols, beta carotene and lutein compared to fresh varieties stored in the fridge for three days.

Apple cider vinegar

The great news about this product is that it is a multipurpose use in the kitchen. For example, it can be used as a cleaner and can be used as a flavorful addition to recipes like sauces, dressings, and baked goods.

According to Web MD, apple cider vinegar can be beneficial for weight loss, to lower your blood sugar, to lower your cholesterol and kill germs.

Eggs

Eggs are quite versatile, you can have them in different ways and can enjoy them at different times of the day.

According to Healthline, eggs are packed with protein and just about every vitamin and mineral your body needs to thrive, which is why they’re often referred to as nature’s multivitamin.
