Nothing says, “Heritage Day” like a winning Chakalaka recipe to feed your body and your soul. This one is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
Prep and cooking time: 35 minutes
3 tablespoons (45ml) PnP Blended Cooking Oil
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon PnP Crushed Garlic
½ red, green and yellow peppers, chopped
2 carrots, grated
3 tablespoons curry paste
1 can (410g) PnP Hot & Spicy Chakalaka
½ cup (125ml) water Salt and cayenne pepper to taste
METHOD: Heat oil, and fry onion and garlic until soft. Add peppers and cook for 5 minutes. Mix in remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve cold.
